Are latex-free condoms less effective?

Fortunately, No!

SKYN condoms are just as effective as their latex cousins. With proper usage and fit, you won’t have to worry about breaking or tearing with these because they are made of a durable synthetic polyisoprene. They are sure to protect you from pregnancy and STI exposure just as effectively as other popular brands.

Do you have problems finding a condom that fits? Check out our Snug Fit and Large Fit guides to help you find the perfect size for you.

Standard vs Large Sizes

If the traditional barrier size of 53mm isn’t enough to accommodate you, then you might want to try the SKYN Elite Large Non-Latex Lubricated Condoms, which offer a roomier fit with a wider 56mm width and comfortable 7.5” length with a straight shaped shaft.

Cruelty Free Bonus

As a bonus, SKYN condoms are also a great option if you’re vegan, because they don’t contain any animal derivatives. We made sure to highlight that in our Best Vegan Friendly Condoms article, but just in case you were worried, rest assured that they contain neither latex nor animal byproducts.

Low fragrance

Extra bonus is that SKYN barriers don’t have an icky latex smell. If you or any of your partners are sensitive to smells, and don’t like the way traditional latex condoms smell, then you should definitely give these a try. The material has a naturally low odor and no added fragrances.

UltraThin + Extra Lube

To top all of this off,  they are also available in an extra-lubricated AND ultra-thin option. SKYN Elite Extra Lube Ultra-Thin Non-Latex have a minimal thickness of only 0.045mm, and are pre-lubricated with an extra slippery 40% more silicone lubricant. If that sounds like fun, then pick up a box of condoms today!
